The development of the department of renewable energies and environment over 10 years led to establish the School of Energy and Sustainable Resources Engineering in 2023. Iran has about 11% of the world's proved crude oil reserves and 17% of the world's proved natural gas reserves. It also has a high potential of renewable energies such as solar energy, wind energy and hydro-energy and other sustainable resources. In additional, due to the high capacity of Iran’s human resource, there is hope for the development of the highest technologies for the exploration, evaluation, extraction, conversion, transportation and exploitation of fossil and renewable energies sources and other sustainable resources. The main mission and goal of the school is the training the specialists needed by Iran -in the graduate education levels in various fields of interdisciplinary sciences and technologies, energy engineering, renewable energies, energy saving, energy-environment and other sustainable resources- as well as the attracting elites and researchers and conducting applied interdisciplinary research in order to acquire the knowledge and technology needed by the society and provide to national and international scientific and industrial centers to improve Iran's prospectives.
Objectives

- Equip students with practical skills and theoretical knowledge to excel in their professional careers in the energy sector.

- Conduct groundbreaking research in renewable energy technologies such as wind, solar, hydro, bioenergy, fuel cells, hydrogen energy, supercapacitors and other energy resources.

- Publish and disseminate research findings to contribute to the global body of knowledge in the energy sector.
- Industry Collaboration:
- Partner with industry leaders, government agencies, and research institutions to promote the practical application of the energy technologies.

- Encourage the commercialization of research outcomes to accelerate the adoption of energy (especially renewable energy) solutions.
- Community Engagement:
